Bio.

Amanda Berg [she/her] is a documentary photographer, filmmaker, creative consultant, and educator based in Pennsylvania.

She approaches visual storytelling from a combination of conventional and experimental perspectives. Her practice has been informed by over a decade working in photojournalism, digital media, experimental film, and strategic communications. It’s also been shaped by the creative challenge of being dyslexic.

Berg’s work tends to explore experiences of heightened togetherness and identity formation. Her in-house production experience includes years spent at newspapers in North Carolina and Pennsylvania and in the Office of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf. Her independent projects have been supported by organizations such as the Alexia Foundation, Kenan Institute for Ethics, and Annenberg Foundation. She received an MFA from Duke University in 2014 and a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology 2011.

Berg is currently developing passion projects while teaching adjunct courses, doing freelance assignments, and building Rolling Lemon — a mission-driven creative studio.
